“Spring Grass Action”

Library for Secondary Schools Project Plan


Project Background:

To support Guangdong, Yunnan, Sichuan and Guizhou, the Western China provinces’ impoverished mountainous regions’ education, to allow the students living in that regions the ability to obtain new knowledge, new information, new ideas, create a good growth environment of study for these children and to build social spiritual civilization, SZPP to establish internet availability, based on its experience and advantage in the field of Commonweal, its advantage geographic and resources as it locate in Shenzhen close to Guangzhou and Chongqing; and launch the “Spring Grass Action" to build a library for each of the 100 schools.

To the successful implementation of the plan and to complete in a timely manner of the 100 schools’ library project, SZPP calls for enterprise to join this national education-giving project, to take this opportunity to play a social role and to ensure corporate social responsibility.

Application Requirements:

1. The school do not currently have a library or the original one is not available;

2. Provide 5 to 10 photos of the school (library if there is).

In order to properly manage the library the applicant must accepts the donated library according to the following specific requirements:

1. Assign a specific teacher to manage the donated library;

2. A minimum of a reading lesson every week for each class;

3. Provide feedback before 25th each month to SZPP, publish monthly report of the library on SZPP library column (introduction, summary and at least 5 photo);

4. Promote the high-use library on web and media;

5. If the management of library does not satisfy the requirement, or if the library closed for over 2 months without explanations, SZPP reserves the right to take back the books and facilities.

6. Perform inventory check every year; normal wear and tear books will be replaced.

7. The teacher-in charge of the library joins in SZPP donated library management QQ group.

Budget:

Each library is equipped with 3000 books, 6 bookshelves, and 4 sets of reading table (an integrated table and stool, 40 seats in total).

Cooperation Mode:

1. SZPP accept corporate donations, aid to build a library with RMB 18,000 yuan, each library will named after the donor, SZPP award honor card for enterprise, sign the donation agreement with the enterprise and received the donation;

2. SZPP promote the good and love of the donor enterprises through the network, the media , expand these enterprises and this project's influence on society;

3. SZPP will supervise the construction of libraries and report monthly to the enterprises;

4. SZPP organize, in a regularly way, the enterprises to visit the school library and to participate in the interactive activities;

5. SZPP is responsible for tracking school libraries’ construction application, assessment, project engineering, propagation, management and operation.

Library Operation and Management

1. Mobilize, through the network and publicity, non-profit organizations of Guangdong, Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Gansu and other regions to recommend the schools which need to have a library and to collect the related information,

2. Set up a project teams to develop library application requirements, the standard library module to be built, prepare and implement the project plans;

3. Organize school visits completed by the local non-profit organizations to verify the conditions of applicant school and determine whether they are eligible;

4. Sign an agreement with the school in need to build a library to ensure the use and management;

5. Sign long-term supply contract with the books, bookshelves, reading tables, stools suppliers to standardize the facilities;

6. Organize volunteers to classify books donated, box them up and indicate quantity per carton;

7. Storage and transportation of books: SZPP integrate social resources joint Shenzhen enterprises to provide free warehouse and transportation;

8. Assign a specific teacher to assure interface with SZPP after opening library, provide feedback each month to SZPP library column and a monthly report.

9. Organize from time to time the interaction with the donator enterprises;

10. The project advance following the step of application, approval and construction.
